THE hospital staff in Casualty face a challenging week as Rash, Faith and Ngozi take centre stage in this week’s spoilers.
Here is a rundown of what to expect in upcoming scenes.
Rash is under pressure
Seeing Rash (Neet Mohan) stressed about his upcoming assessment, Dylan (William Beck) comforts him.
Dylan reassures Rash that he will be fine and observes as Rash talks to Tom, who is dealing with chest pain.
Despite Dylan’s support, Rash’s nerves ultimately get the better of him.
Faith’s blast from the past
When Iain (Michael Stevenson) brings in a patient, Faith (Kirsty Mitchell) is stunned to recognise her as Astrid from her NA meetings.
While Astrid denies any break in her sobriety, she is forced to come clean about her use of ketamine when Faith and Cam (Barney Walsh) increase the dosage of a drug with strong side effects.
The tension between the old friends grows further as Astrid reveals to the entire ED that Faith treated patients while under the influence of drugs.
Shock accusation from Patrick
Patrick manages to expose the email Rash wrote about him to HR from a few weeks earlier.
Turning the tables on Rash, Patrick accuses him of being the whistleblower.
As tension grows between the two, Rash confronts Patrick over the latter being secretive.
Meanwhile, Rida (Sarah Seggari) also attempts to address Rash over him being the whistleblower, leaving him furious.
Following the accusations against him, Rash heads to the hospital roof.
He looks down while fighting his inner thoughts but ultimately backs away, frightened of what he was thinking.
Ngozi’s concerns about Nicole
Rosie’s (Nicola Chegwin) attempts to contact Nicole (Sammy Dobson) on the shift don’t go unnoticed by Ngozi (Adesuwa Oni).
While Nicole praises Rosie’s care and cooking, Ngozi picks up on this as ‘controlling’ behaviour and tries to question Rosie’s say in Nicole’s diet.
Faith struggles with her feelings for Iain
Stevie (Elinor Lawless) encourages Faith to confide in Iain about her feelings towards him.
Feeling confident, Faith invites Iain to go for a drink with her, hoping for an opportunity to reconnect.
They talk as friends once in the pub, but things become awkward when Faith brings up Astrid.
Iain changes his tune, urging Faith to go home – before abruptly leaving himself.
Teddy struggles to cope
Teddy (Milo Clarke) continues to cope in the wake of his assault.
The young paramedic was sexually assaulted while at work, after he and Iain were called out to a hen party.
His out of character behaviour is now impacting his colleagues.
Needing a way to channel his emotions, Teddy challenges Jacob to spar which later turns aggressive.
