Viewers think they know which Coronation Street character could bring down dodgy detective Kit Green on the ITV soap.

He may have made one mistake too far, as fans predict a revenge twist could lead to his downfall. Kit has divided viewers in recent months thanks to his cryptic behaviour and his many dodgy dealings.

Despite being on the right side of the law, the detective has committed crimes and covered up those done by others. He’s issued threats, attacked people and even tampered with evidence.

Someone who is always keen to get his own way, he’s broken the rules a fair few times. But his latest shenanigans could see him brought down.

Kit was revealed to be the mystery man Shona Platt had slept with recently, with her cheating on her husband David Platt. Most of the street have no idea about Kit’s ruthless antics at work and outside of it, with him causing trouble for a number of residents.

He blackmailed Beth Tinker earlier in the year and forced her to leave, while he also targeted her son Craig. Kit has had grievances with others too, while Wednesday’s episode saw another twist as it was teased he had links to the Radcliffe brothers and Harvey Gaskell.

Matty Radcliffe seemed terrified of Kit who threatened him, after he targeted David over Harvey’s stolen money. Kit tracked him down and warned him to pass on a message to Harvey, before beating Matty up.

As Matty screamed out, Kit warned him to stay away from David or he’d have him to deal with. Matty didn’t even seem to consider exposing Kit, which suggests Harvey and those linked to him may know Kit, and may be aware he’s dodgy.

So has Kit done them a favour or two? How much is Kit covering and for who? While a link to Harvey has been teased nothing has been confirmed, but a downfall could be set.

David was pleased but confused as to why Kit would want to help him out, and put his neck on the line for his family. Kit claimed it was because he was close with his late brother Paul, but clearly it’s down to his recent fling with Shona.

Amid spoilers teasing David could learn the truth and will soon target Kit in a revenge plot, some viewers are wondering if David will be the one to expose Kit. Taking to X, one fan said: “David’s at his best when he wants revenge, kit don’t stand a chance. You don’t get on the wrong side of our David Platt.” Another added: “He should expose Kit as a corrupt police detective.”
