BBC’s Casualty will return to our screens for a Christmas special this month, including a guest cast.

The BBC said: “This innovative new special is a tribute to the miracle of blood, brought to life with all the tension and emotional depth that Casualty delivers so well.”

The Casualty’s Christmas episode will see a schedule change this year with the episode airing 20 minutes than its usual episodes.

In the episode, it’s Christmas Day in the ED and the team is faced with an emergency blood shortage.

Whilst Stevie (Elinor Lawless) fights to save lives, Iain (Michael Stevenson) risks his own to ensure the hospital doesn’t go without.

This is what we know about the special Christmas episode, including the guest cast list and how to watch it.

The original cast will be featured in the episode but viewers will notice some guest stars including:

  • Zoe Brough (Outrageous, Father Brown)

  • Valerie Antwi (DI Ray S2, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child)

How to watch Casualty’s Christmas special 2024

The Casualty Christmas special will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC One this December.

Fans can watch the special episode on Saturday, December 21 at 9.20pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

If that’s not exciting enough for Casualty fans, the Christmas special will be followed by the next series of Casualty later in the month.
