After 12 weeks Casualty’s “Breaking Point” storyline came to an end tonight in a nail-biting episode

Casualty fans couldn’t help but express their heartbreak tonight as the current storyline came to a head and Rash Masum (played by Neet Mohan) tried to take his own life in the long-running BBC medical drama. His actions came after he took the fall for nurse Rida Amaan and said he was the whistleblower who had released damning footage from the ED to a TV documentary company.

The hugely dramatic episode saw the culmination of the current story arc called Breaking Point, which has been running for twelve weeks. It has seen Rash struggle with his mental health and the hospital rocked by a TV documentary after a whistleblower released footage from the ED and paramedic Teddy Gowan (Milo Clarke) sexually assaulted and forced to deal with the aftermath of his attack.

Fans were in thrall of the episode and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their feelings. @Mrs_AhmedZaman wrote: “Tonight’s episode of #Casualty – an emotional rollercoaster. Sublime.”

@thiznited commented: “That was the hardest watch of my life #Casualty,” followed by a broken heart emoji. @TypicallyDivya chimed in: “Tariq finding Rash unconscious actually broke my heart #Casualty.”

@griannedoherty opined “Sorry, but forget Rida being the whistleblower for just a sec, the absolute state of Rash right now? How the hell has no one noticed/commented? Poor bloke looks more like a homeless man, than a qualified E.D Doctor. He needs help. Just saying… #Casualty.”

Unfortunately this came too late for Rash who had already put his plan to end his life in motion and viewers will have to wait to see if he survives.

Elsewhere paramedic Teddy was also struggling as he once again confronted his attacker Hayley who has been charged with his assault.

And Jan Jennings (Di Botcher) came up with a solution to Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) childcare issues.BBC Casualty fans 'heartbroken' over 'emotional rollercoaster' episode | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk
