‘FBI’ Season 8 Confirmed for Fall 2025: What’s the Likely Premiere Date?

CBS has set the fall 2025 schedule, and in some great news, FBI season 8 is part of it. It’s the only FBI series returning from the previous season, although it will be joined by the new spinoff series, CIA. There is a major change to the schedule, though.

FBI is moving nights for the first time ever. It will now take the Monday 9/8c timeslot, with CIA airing in the hour afterward. Tuesdays will got back to NCIS, which will kick off an entire NCIS Night.

Now eyes are on when the fall schedule will begin. CBS hasn’t set premiere dates yet, but we should get some dates soon. We can also made a prediction based on previous season premieres.

FBI season 8 is likely to premiere in October 2025

In the past, CBS has set September and October premiere dates. We’re not including the seasons where dates were affected by things like the pandemic and the strike action that put shows on hold. During a usual season, CBS has set the late-September and early-October dates.

Since FBI season 7 premiered on Tuesday, Oct. 15, we’re looking at something similar for the new season. Of course, on a Monday, instead. With this in mind, we’re looking at the FBI season 8 premiere airing on Monday, Oct. 13.

This is just a guess, but it does look like CBS is trying to push the season returns a little later right now. As much as a longer summer is annoying, it’s great for us on the other side of the break. There are fewer breaks in the schedule when the shows return, since there are fewer weeks to fill until May.

What to expect in the FBI season 8 premiere

The seventh season ended with a major cliffhanger. Isobel collapsed, making it clear that she should have gotten herself checked out after she was involved in the explosion at HQ. Everyone rushed to get her medical attention, with Jubal making it clear that there isn’t a pulse.

Will Isobel live? That’s the biggest question going into the new season. There were already concerns that we would love Alana de la Garza this season, but there were no hints that Isobel was ready to walk away in the finale. In fact, she was in the middle of giving a speech about how great it was working with the team that she had.

However, if she survives, she will need to take med leave. This will give Jubal a chance to step up as the boss, showing that he has the skills. What will things be like when Isobel returns?
