EastEnders viewers are speculating that Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) may find herself expecting in forthcoming episodes, but with a significant DNA twist suggesting Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) is not the dad.
During Wednesday’s episode (February 26) of the popular BBC One soap, Sharon was unfaithful to Teddy, rekindling her relationship with former spouse Grant Mitchell, played by Ross Kemp, who happens to be Teddy’s cousin.
On the day she was discharged from hospital following the terrifying Queen Vic explosion, Sharon found herself locking lips with Grant in her kitchen. Mourning the loss of Martin Fowler, played by James Bye, Sharon sought solace and found it in Grant when he paid her a visit.
Their laughter continued as Grant swept Sharon off her feet, leading to a lengthy and passionate kiss. The scene then shifted to Sharon’s boyfriend Teddy, waiting for her at Martin’s vigil drinks.
As Sharon and Grant’s encounter heated up, with Grant removing his jacket mid-kiss, viewers are suspecting that Sharon might end up pregnant with Grant’s child, reports Plymouth Live.
On the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, one viewer speculated: “Sharon is going to get pregnant off Grant isn’t she. I can see it coming.”
Echoing the sentiment, another fan commented: “I swear if Sharon gets pregnant at like 56 via Grant I actually won’t be able to cope. I’m sorry but that ship has SAILED! Ur about 10 years too late Chris Clenshaw.”
Another chimed in with their prediction, “Sharon will get pregnant off Grant – just like she did off Keanu/ Phil in 2019/20. Clenshaw loves nostalgia and this could be what pulls Grant back to Walford for good.”
A fourth individual weighed in on the potential plot twist: “Sharon is going to regret what she’s just done – she’s grieving and isn’t thinking straight. I hope she doesn’t become pregnant with Grant’s baby just like with Phil. Teddy is going to go ballistic when he finds out especially when he discovers Barney is Zack’s son too.”

Project manager Tim hosted fellow competitors Amanda, Danielle and Fiona.
It turned out Tim’s sister is none other than Sally Ann Matthews, who stars as Jenny Bradley in the ITV soap.
Posting to X, the actress penned: “It’s been two years and I still don’t know if my brother won #comedinewithme. Finale time! x”.
A fan wrote: “Just watched tonight, great scores for your bro.”
To which Sally Ann replied: “I can’t believe it !! My recipes though x.”
In the episode, Tim surprised his fellow contestants by revealing his celebrity relative.
First teasing he has “a famous sister”, he also hinted “she’s a redhead” and “pulls pints on ITV.”
Fiona exclaimed “Shut up!” after Sally-Ann was identified, telling the cameras: “I can’t believe that Jenny from Coronation Street is Tim’s sister.”
Ultimately, Tim emerged triumphant, tying with fellow contestant Amanda.
Sally Ann, 54, originally played Jenny full-time from 1986 to 1991.
Huge secret looming over several key Coronation Street residents – as an unexpected admission changes everything
After a short stint in 1993, she returned in 2015 and has remained ever since.
It comes as eagle-eyed Corrie fans recently called out a massive change in Jenny’s storyline.
During her time off-screen, the character married a man named Gregory Midgeley and had a son named Tom together.
He tragically drowned in a paddling pool when he was just four-years-old.
This was understood to have occurred after Jenny left him unattended when getting money from her bag in order to buy ice-cream.
Although Tom’s death was previously described, Jenny was believed to be on her own when it happened.
However, Jenny was shown blaming his death on Daisy (Charlotte Jordan), claiming he was left in her care when she was just 16-years-old.
Questioning the change, a viewer wrote on Reddit: “The way Tom’s death was described up until now made it out like Jenny was the only one there.
History of the Coronation Street set
By Jake Penkethman, TV Reporter
1960-1968 – Whilst the Coronation Street set remained on Quay Street for 53 years, it actually had three separate studio sites. The first was an entirely indoor wooden set which was used for the first eight years of filming. This encompassed a replica of the Street built entirely indoors. The set was known to be awkward for actors to use and the houses brought to three quarter scale.
1968-1982 – In 1968, the addition of an outdoor set was created to adjoin the existing indoor set which was still used for filming right up until 1982. The set was used only when required with many of the show’s cast reportedly hating it and describing it as ‘the coldest place on Earth’.
1982-2013 – A brand new set was officially constructed in 1982 and was almost built fully to scale but still only permitted for one car to drive down the cobbled street. The house were purpose-built using reclaimed Salford brick in order to give it the most authentic feel possible. During these years, some of the show’s buildings were adapted to allow for both interior and exterior filming at the same time. These locations included Elliott’s Butchers, Barlow’s Buys, Prima Doner and Webster’s Autos. The final scenes to be recorded on this site occurred in December 2013. By early 2014, it began operating as a tourist attraction for around two years before ultimately being demolished and re-purposed in 2017.
2014-present – In early 2014, the show’s set moved to the TV hub of the North – MediaCityUK in nearby Salford Quays. It is now located a stone’s throw from major TV studio Dock 10 as well as the BBC’s base in the North – home to Blue Peter, Newsround, BBC Breakfast and BBC Sport. The new set was even bigger and built to 9/10 the scale of a real street and allowed for two card to be travelling down the road at opposite sides for the very first time. The site has even undergone major expansions during its 10 years. Just four years after opening in 2018, a brand new set extension was unveiled which introduced viewers to Victoria Gardens for the first time in its history. The Weatherfield North tram stop also became visible as did a series of shops which became used as part of product placement advertising deals. Brands to have been seen on the Street so far include a Co-Op, a Costa Coffee and a branch of Hay’s Travel. Four years later in 2022, another brand new set was unveiled, this time being the heavily mentioned Weatherfield Precinct. It became the first time in 62 years that the area had ever been seen on screens. It fearued a variety of shop fronts, a playground and a number of small flats which have begun to house more and more residents on the street in recent months.
“Now I know Daisy didn’t exist in 2015, but this changes quite a lot?”
Another penned: “Even on Daisy’s side it doesn’t make sense if she had been in the garden then wouldn’t she have blamed her self or conclude Jenny blamed her especially given they didn’t speak for years after.”
While a third noted: : “When it was mentioned then [in 2016], the police said (to Kevin & Sophie) that he died because Jenny left him completely unattended.
” It was all related to her and now suddenly she’s blaming it all on Daisy? It makes no sense.”

In Home And Away this week, Harper (Jessica Redmayne) is feeling heartbroken and alone after she and Tane (Ethan Browne) agreed to cancel the wedding. While the writing had been on the wall for some time, Harper hopes her doubt was nothing more than wedding-day nerves. But when Tane admitted he wasn’t in love with her, their relationship crumbled.
“They’re entering a loveless marriage which, deep down, neither of them wants,” Jessica tells TV WEEK.

Now Harper is mulling over what to do next. Tane is the father’s baby and, despite their problems, he’ll always be part of her life. After discussing her thoughts with her sister, Dana (Ally Harris), Harper texts Tane, asking to meet.
What begins as a tentative catch-up, dancing around the obvious, quickly descends into chaos when Tane suggests they put the wedding behind them and act as if nothing had ever happened. The heartache is too raw for Harper and his words hurt. She doesn’t want to ignore it or pretend what they had was nothing.
“Harper is still very much in love with Tane,” Jessica stresses.
Her blood boiling at her ex’s careless words, Harper makes a snap decision – she doesn’t want Tane to be part of the baby’s life at all! Tane is stunned.

“The cancellation of the wedding has placed immense strain on their circumstances,” Jessica explains.
“Harper finds the idea of being around Tane to co-parent Archie extremely difficult.”
Tane pleads with Harper to reconsider, but every word he says only manages to make her angrier. As the pair feud on the beach, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) overhears and rushes in to pull them apart. Will Tane’s dream of being a dad be lost forever?
